Description

An extension of the orthotic shell distal to the first metatarsal head, out to the end of the great toe, that limits motion at the first MPJ. Commonly prescribed for hallux limitus/rigidus, functional hallux limitus, or when the great toe joint motion needs to be restricted. A standard Morton’s extension is made of EVA but it is common and often recommended to extend the shell to create a more rigid Mortons extension.
